Super Bowl Spot: ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ Mocks ‘Fifty Shades Darker’
John Wick: Chapter 2 debuted two Valentine’s Day-themed spots during the Super Bowl pre-game show, mocking the trailers for the Fifty Shades of Grey series (since Keanu Reeves’ action-shooter opens against Fifty Shades Darker on Valentine’s Day weekend).
Also starring Common, Laurence Fishburne, Riccardo Scamarcio, Ruby Rose, Lance Reddick, Bridget Moynahan, Franco Nero, John Leguizamo, and Ian McShane, the sequel to the 2014 action thriller sees our hero head overseas to square off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.
Directed by Chad Stahelski, who co-directed the first John Wick, Lionsgate will open John Wick: Chapter 2 on February 10th.
If you have a good spouse, they will see John Wick 2 over Fifty Shades Darker.
In this next chapter following the 2014 hit, legendary hitman John Wick [Keanu Reeves] is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.
