Weekend Box Office: ‘Ride Along 2’ Beats Out ‘Star Wars’

Ride Along 2 took the top spot at the weekend box office and beat out Star Wars: The Force Awakens after four weeks atop box office charts.

Scoring a B+ CinemaScore, the comedy sequel starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube has debuted to $34 million over three days and an estimated $39.5 million over the four-day Martin Luther King weekend.

Paramount Pictures has released a full-length trailer for Michael Bay‘s action-packed thriller, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, based on the Benghazi incident, of course.

The film tells the story of the 2012 attack on an American compound in Libya when a well respected diplomat was killed becuase the situation on the ground changed far more than anyone was prepared for.

Paramount has revealed Red Band and Green Band trailers for Michael Bay‘s 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, based on the non-fiction book by Michtell Zuckoff about the dual 2012 attacks on American compounds in Libya.
