Back in October, we shared a rumor that a live-action “X-Men” TV show might appear. Now after months of speculation, word is that Fox has confirmed the network is in the early stages of developing the comic book franchise for television, pending the approval of Marvel Entertainment.

Update: According to Disney’s press release for the new trailer, the official “screenplay by” credit goes to Anchorman and Step Brothers writer/director Adam McKay and Paul Rudd, while Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish get a “story by” credit and Wright remains credited as an executive producer.
