Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant from 20th Century Fox looks to be the winner at the domestic box office with a three-day estimate of $36 million from 3,761 locations, which just barely edged out a major holdover Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 that collected $35 million in its third week of release.
Starring Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, Demian Bechir and more, Scott‘s divisive sequel to Prometheus cost $97 million to make and opened 29 percent behind the first Alien prequel.
Fox has released a new trailer for Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi horror sequel Alien: Covenant, the latest chapter in the Alien saga that feels like it’s going back to the roots of the original 1979 film but with more weight to it’s story.

20th Century Fox has unveiled a prologue trailer for Ridley Scott‘s Alien: Covenant on Wednesday night and in it we see the crew of the colony ship as they gather for a final meal before entering cryosleep. On a side note, Katherine Waterston (the pixie haircut chick with the dimples that is supposed to be the heroine of this film) has got a bit of an eye thing like her father Sam, which makes me want to hug her.

20th Century Fox has released the first teaser poster for Ridley Scott‘s upcoming Prometheus sequel, Alien: Covenant, and by doing so they have also revealed that the film has been moved up and will debut three months early.
Originally scheduled to hit theaters on August 4th next year, Covenant will now open on May 19th,
Chatting with Baz Bamigboye, director Ridley Scott has hinted that Noomi Rapace won’t be returning to Prometheus sequel, Alien: Covenant.
The director added, “We’re still casting the main roles.” Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice) and Michael Fassbender are the only actors locked in for the film at this time.
