2018 BAFTA Awards: ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ Wins Best Film

The 2018 BAFTA Awards

The 2018 BAFTA Awards – hosted this year by Joanna Lumley – are being awarded on Sunday evening at the Royal Albert Hall.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri dominated the biggest film awards outside of the U.S., claiming five prizes, including best film, best actress and best supporting actor.

2017 BAFTA Awards: ‘La La Land’ Tops in Almost Every Major Category

As expected, the frothy musical La La Land dominated the EE British Academy Film Awards, winning in almost every major category including Best Film, Director (Damien Chazelle), Lead Actress (Emma Stone), Cinematography (Linus Sandgren) and Original Music (Justin Hurwitz).

The other big winner at the 70th annual BAFTAs ceremony, hosted by Stephen Fry, is Ken Loach’s I, Daniel Blake as Best British Film.

The 2016 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards were handed out in London Sunday night and Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s The Revenant was honored with the top prizes of Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio, Best Sound, and Best Cinematography for Emmanuel Lubezki.
