20th Century Fox has released the first full-length trailer for the upcoming musical drama Bohemian Rhapsody, which stars Rami Malek as notable Queen frontman Freddie Mercury who died from AIDS-related causes in 1991.
Directed by X-Men regular Bryan Singer (who was fired during production and replaced with actor-turned-director Dexter Fletcher, but who will retain the final credited director) and written by The Theory of Everything Oscar nominee Anthony McCarten,

The long-in-development film about the famous 80’s rock band Queen is directed by Dexter Fletcher (Eddie the Eagle).
Dexter Fletcher, a former child actor who made his debut in 1976’s Bugsy Malone, has replaced the fired Bryan Singer on the Freddie Mercury movie, titled Bohemian Rhapsody. The project is set up at 20th Century Fox.
Fletcher, who last directed Eddie the Eagle, which Fox distributed, will see the film through its last few weeks of shooting and will then oversee post-production.

The film which chronicles the famously flamboyant musician’s life from 1970 to 1985 marks a return to drama for Bryan Singer after years spent with the X-Men franchise.
