Weekend Box Office: ‘Coco’ Beats ‘Justice League’ Over Thanksgiving

Pixar’s Coco won the five-day box office turkey trot with an estimated $71.2 million, with $49 million from the Friday-to-Sunday period. The musical trip, set during Mexico’s Día de Muertos celebration, features the voices of Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt, Gael Garcia Bernal, Edward James Olmos, Alanna Ubach, and is directed by Lee Unkrich and co-directed by Adrian Molina.

Focus Features has revealed the new Darkest Hour trailer, which stars a totally unrecognizable Gary Oldman as the incredibly-quotable British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill.

Directed by Joe Wright (“Atonement”) and written by Anthony McCarten (“The Theory of Everything”), the film covers four weeks in 1940. Oldman is joined onscreen by Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James, Stephen Dillane, Ronald Pickup, and Ben Mendelsohn.

Focus Features has released the first trailer and poster for Joe Wright’s Darkest Hour, the new Winston Churchill biopic that stars a totally unrecognizable Gary Oldman as the British Prime Minister.

Also starring Kristin Scott Thomas, Lily James, Stephen Dillane, Ronald Pickup, and Ben Mendelsohn, the film chronicles Churchill’s difficult push to lead his nation into and through World War II.
