Sorry Fast & Furious fans, but your franchise can’t last forever. Lead actor and producer Vin Diesel took to Facebook to confirm that one last trilogy will be made to end the saga. The announcement comes after The Hollywood Reporter suggested that Furious 8 has no director attached. Lucas Black and James Wan are both reportedly unavailable.
To absolutely no one’s surprise, Vin Diesel confirmed during CinemaCon on Thursday, April 23, that a eighth Fast and Furious film will be released on April 14, 2017.
“We were giddy and excited. You all gave me so much confidence. There was so much love,” Diesel said at the panel.
