Live-Action ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ Gets a Main Trailer

Fumihiko Sori’s Live-Action

Warner Bros. Japan has unveiled a “main trailer” for the live-action adaptation of Hiromu Akakawa’s popular manga series Fullmetal Alchemist, which comes with English subtitles.

The film, directed by Fumihiko Sori (“Ping Pong”) and starring Ryosuke Yamada (“Assassination Classroom”) will make its U.S. premiere on November 19 at Anime NYC with director Sori in attendance.

Hiromu Arakawa’s Manga Series

Warner Bros. Japan has released a second teaser trailer for the live-action adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s Fullmetal Alchemist manga series. The trailer shows off the young Elric brothers’ attempt to bring their mother back from the dead through alchemy.

Ryosuke Yamada stars as protagonist Edward, while Alphonse Elric will be rendered in full CG. Also starring Tsubasa Honda, Dean Fujioka, Ryuta Sato, Yo Oizumi, and Misako Renbutsu, the film is directed by Fumihiko Sori (Ping Pong).

Hiromu Arakawa’s Manga Series

Warner Bros. Japan has released a first trailer for the upcoming live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movie. The big-screen adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s manga series features an all-Japanese cast.

Fumihiko Sori (Ping Pong) will direct the film which stars boy band singer Ryosuke Yamada as the lead alchemist Edward Elric.
