On the podcast Meet the Movie Press, The Wrap reporter Jeff Sneider revealed that sources tell him there are two films Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray was in talks to helm: one was the third Star Wars spin-off, with Michael B. Jordan in the role of Boba Fett; the other was Fast & Furious 8, of course.
TheWrap reports that Marvel Studios has found a writer for the King of Wakanda’s first solo adventure. John Robert Cole (Amber Lake) is reportedly closet to closing a deal to pen the script for Black Panther movie with Chadwick Boseman already on board to star as the titular superhero.
Sorry Fast & Furious fans, but your franchise can’t last forever. Lead actor and producer Vin Diesel took to Facebook to confirm that one last trilogy will be made to end the saga. The announcement comes after The Hollywood Reporter suggested that Furious 8 has no director attached. Lucas Black and James Wan are both reportedly unavailable.
Deadline first broke the news that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, aka “Franchise Viagra” has been tapped to star in a big screen adaptation of Midway’s 1986 arcade game, Rampage.
The original game featured three giant monsters, a gorilla, a lizard and a werewolf, who cause destruction and chaos in major cities around North America, while trying to fend off military forces.
To absolutely no one’s surprise, Vin Diesel confirmed during CinemaCon on Thursday, April 23, that a eighth Fast and Furious film will be released on April 14, 2017.
“We were giddy and excited. You all gave me so much confidence. There was so much love,” Diesel said at the panel.
