“Save the world just for the hell of it.” Summit Entertainment has debuted the first Hellboy trailer. Neil Marshall is a director of the David Harbour-led reboot of the franchise.

The film also stars Ian McShane as Professor Broom, Milla Jovovich as the Blood Queen, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, Penelope Mitchell as the elder witch Ganeida, and Daniel Dae Kim is playing Major Ben Daimio.

Lionsgate has released the first official Hellboy poster with David Harbour in full “terrible destiny” mode. The one-sheet comes ahead of the film’s New York Comic-Con panel, that will feature the cast as well as Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. The first trailer is also expected to be launched at this weekend’s panel for the reboot.

Lionsgate has shared on social media the first photo of David Harbour as the titular character in the upcoming Hellboy reboot, and it looks stunning.

The new half-demon looks more angular than Ron Perlman’s rounded visage. Harbor’s look also has a very different hair style than Perlman in the Guillermo del Toro film adaptations.

After Ed Skrein dropped out of Lionsgate’s Hellboy reboot starring David Harbour, following controversy over whitewashing a character of Japanese descent, a new report says that the studio is currently in talks with “Lost” and “Hawaii Five-0” star Daniel Dae Kim to play the role of Major Ben Daimio.

Less than a week after being cast in the upcoming Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen as Major Ben Daimio, who in the comic books is Asian, Deadpool actor Ed Skrein has dropped out of the reboot following public outcry.

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola took to his socials to break the news that the R-rated reboot from Game of Thrones director Neil Marshall is now in the works with one-time Cable contender David Harbour taking over the lead role that Ron Perlman filled in Guillermo del Toro’s two previous films.

According to THR, the reboot will be produced by Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin for Millennium Films, with Dark Horse Entertainment also producing.

Guillermo Del Toro has seemingly called it a wrap on advocating for Hellboy 3. The writer-director made sad the announcement on Twitter despite the fact that he promised fans that he would sit down with Ron Perlman and Mike Mignola and talk about a possible sequel if Twitter poll would get 100 thousand votes in 24 hours.
