Update: The folks from Slashfilm are hearing that Simon Kinberg who is already guiding Lucasfilm’s Star Wars Rebels, will take over writing duties. Sounds reasonable.

We’ve seen many fan-made versions of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer including Lego, Lens Flare and George Lucas-style recreation, but this fun sweded version is so outrageous and outgoing that’s damn cool.
Among the Star Wars names LucasFilm and Disney have registered as trademarks on December 11–including all the new ones that were revealed last week: the ball droid named BB-8, Kylo Ren (the Sith, possibly Adam Driver), the female desert dweller Rey (Daisy Ridley)–is one called “Captain Phasma.”

Yep, Star Wars creator George Lucas hasn’t even seen the teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Lucas recently told Page Six that he hasn’t seen any footage from the film even though he’s officially listed as the Creative Consultant on the new J.J. Abrams film.

Hell yeah!! It looks like a modernized version of the original trilogy. It starts with a shot of John Boyega with the “I’m bout to die” look on his grill, and has a glimpse of the Millennium Falcon.
20th Century Fox has nabbed Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac to play the titular antagonist in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past follow-up X-Men: Apocalypse.
