Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper hits stunning $200 million in the domestic bank making it the No. 2 war movie in history of North American box office. Starring Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller, the movie held the top spot in its second weekend, hauling in an impressive $64.4 million and is certainly on track to defeat Saving Private Ryan ($216.5 million).
By tomorrow with the Martin Luther King holiday, the film will shatter records both for the long weekend and the month of January (Ride Along) with an estimated $105.2 million Friday-to-Monday debut frame and an overal cume of $108.6 million.
As it’s a bit of a slow news day, here’s the Taken 4 trailer….Not really. Jimmy Kimmel and his team released a fake trailer for Taken 4: The A-Paco-Lypse complete with the actual Liam Neeson on the hunt for Guillermo Rodriguez‘s dog, which, of course, has been taken.
After reigning supreme atop the box office for weeks, The Hobbit has been finally taken down by Liam Neeson‘s Taken 3. A vengeance-seeking retired CIA operative easily dropped Bilbo and company down three spots on its first weekend.
If you thought Taken 3 would be the end of Liam Neeson‘s run as an action star, you thought wrong.
Run All Night, his third collaboration with Unknown and Non-Stop director Jaume Collet-Serra–who may or may not finally make the live action version of Akira–is his new entry in the genre.
Go little Hobbitses!…but Clint Eastwood‘s American Sniper has another great limited weekend, racking up $640,000 from four theaters.
Peter Jackson‘s Middle-earth finale The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies three-peated at No. 1 with an estimated $21.9 million,
20th Century Fox has debuted the trailer and poster for Taken 3 aka Tak3n (phonetically correct ‘Takthreen’ due to Brad Bervet from Rope of Silicon) and Liam Neeson is now a fugit1v (or fugitonev due to myself).
All jokes aside, Taken 3 is a reality, and the plot has nothing to do with someone kidnapping Neeson’s Bryan Mills. Uhm, well, the trailer is badass, however, and i can’t help but be excited to see this one!
