Walt Disney Studios has unveiled the first poster for director Steven Spielberg’s upcoming adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book, The BFG, which looks like a studio Ghibli one-sheet.
Text on the poster clearly and accurately lets everyone know that the “human beans” is a reference to the Dahl’s work and very smartly uses that nostalgic E.T. font from Spielberg’s beloved film E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.

Newcomer Ruby Barnhill plays Sophie, an orphan who discovers the titular big friendly giant (voiced by Mark Rylance).
Deadline reports that acclaimed filmmaker Steven Spielberg who grew to fame in the ’80s is headed back to the directorial chair to helm the big screen adaptation of the 80’s geekgasm novel Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.
Steven Spielberg aka “the most commercially successful filmmaker in Hollywood,” just can’t get enough. He already filled his slate with Robocalypse sci-fi actioner, Montezuma epic drama, a Cold War spy thriller with Tom Hanks, and a possible West Side Story remake, but it looks like he doesn’t plan on slowing down.
