DreamWorks’ mystery The Girl on the Train easily won the box office with an estimated $24.7 million. Made for $45 million, the Emily Blunt psychological thriller received a B- CinemaScore from audiences.

Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children dropped a spot to second place falling only 48.0% to $15 million for a domestic total of $51.1 million for Fox.

As expected, Tim Burton‘s kid-friendly fantasy-comedy Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children has won the box office and made $28.5 million in its weekend debut.

Miss Peregrine, which stars Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson, cost some $110 million to make.

Sony Pictures and MGM have released the new trailer for Antoine Fuqua‘s star-heavy remake of the classic western The Magnificent Seven (which was originally a reinvention of Kurosawa‘s 1954 classic Seven Samurai).

According to THR, Jason Momoa is in talks to join the cast of MGM and Sony’s Western The Magnificent Seven opposite Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke.

And Deadline is reporting that Terminator Genisys Byung-hun Lee has also joined the ensemble cast in the role of Billy Rocks.
