The full winners of this year’s Academy Awards have been announced on Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, with Spotlight taking the honor of best film, while Mad: Max Fury Road picked up the most with six.
The 2016 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards were handed out in London Sunday night and Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s The Revenant was honored with the top prizes of Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio, Best Sound, and Best Cinematography for Emmanuel Lubezki.

The 2016 Oscar nominees were announced this morning at a special two-part news conference at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. The Revenant led the Oscar nominations with 12, followed by Mad Max: Fury Road with 10.
The Martian picked up 7, while Carol got 6. Spotlight also managed 6, as did Bridge of Spies, while The Big Short managed 5 nominations, along with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
