First Trailer for David Gordon Green’s MANGLEHORN, Starring Al Pacino

The first trailer for David Gordon Green’s latest picture Manglehorn is finally here. The indie movie premiered at Venice Film Festival 2014, starring Al Pacino as a small town locksmith who keeps to himself.

Holly Hunter, Harmony Korine and Chris Messina also star in the film, which opens on June 19th.

The 71st Venice Film Festival has just ended. Jury president Alexandre Desplat and his team have decided the awards. Swedish director Roy Andersson won the Golden Lion for his offbeat, surrealist comedy A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence.

The Silver Lion for best director went to Russian filmmaker Andrei Konchalovsky’s near-silent drama The Postman’s White Nights.

Venice 2014 Lineup Announced

TIFF made a compelling lineup for itself just a day after NYFF nabbed three huge films to premiere on the East Coast and this time, we have Venice Film Festival, featuring performances from Willem Dafoe, Al Pacino, Jennifer Aniston and Ethan Hawke with Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu‘s Birdman already confirmed as their opener.
