Melissa McCarthy rules summer comedy. Following the success of Bridesmaids in 2011 and The Heat in 2013, she’s hoping to do it again with Tammy, which the comedian co-wrote with her husband and director Ben Falcone.

McCarthy stars as a woman who loses her job and man, robs a fast food place and gets into other trouble. Susan Sarandon plays her hard-drinking grandmother who embarks on a road trip with her. They both have their issues they’re not acknowledging and they’re leaving town without knowing where they’re going.

Tammy comes to theaters July 2nd, 2014 and also stars Allison Janney, Toni Collette, Sandra Oh, Dan Aykroyd, Ben Falcone and Kathy Bates.

Check out the second trailer which features Tammy trying to return the money she stole by pulling up to the drive-thru window, attempting to run from the cops (or a bee in her hair) and having a mix-up with her grandma about astronaut Neil Armstrong and biker Lance Armstrong.
