First Poster for THE EQUALIZER

Following The Equalizer banner spotted at CinemaCon, Columbia Pictures has released the first poster for director Antoine Fuqua‘s film version of classic ‘80s show, starring Denzel Washington.

The upcoming action-thriller sees Washington in the lead role as a former black ops agent who rescues a teenage prostitute named Teri (Chloe Moretz), but finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall’s desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer.

Loosely based on the late-’80s TV series, the film returns Washington under the helm of his Training Day director Fuqua.

The poster looks  stylish, a striking one and hopefully is a sign that the trailer can’t be far behind.

The Equalizer will be in theaters on September 26th, co-starring Marton Csokas, David Harbour, Bill Pullman and Melissa Leo.
