hunger-games-mockingjay-part -1-trailer

The Hunger Games mania begins again: Lionsgate have released the first viral video for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 in the form of a menacing propaganda speech from President Snow (Donald Sutherland) himself.

But the best part is clearly Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) standing loyally at Snow’s side as Panem’s leader addressing his citizens with the words:

“If you resist the system, you starve yourself. If you fight against it, it is you who will bleed. I know you will stand with me, with us, with all of us, together, as one.”

No doubt President Snow describes how Panem works together in harmony. “Panem today, Panem tomorrow, Panem forever.” Check out his  message to Panem from Capitol TV:

Peeta was kidnapped by the Capitol at the end of Catching Fire. That’s the reason why  he’s staring blankly off into the distance.

In this chapter we follow heroine Katniss Everdeen’s (Jennifer Lawrence) journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.

The first in the two-part finale of The Hunger Games franchise also stars Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Elizabeth Banks, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Toby Jones, Mahershala Ali, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Julianne Moore and Natalie Dormer.

Directed by Francise Lawrence, the post apocalyptic book adaptation hits theaters on November 21, 2014 and Part 2 is scheduled for release on November 20, 2015.
