The First ‘Legend of Tarzan’ Trailer Swings Online

Warner Brothers’ Action-Adventure

The first Legend of Tarzan trailer swings online following the first stills and poster that were released yesterday. Judging by the looks of this trailer, David Yates‘ take on the classic novel from Edgar Rice Burroughs is a slightly dodgy CGI-fest.

Outside of the vine swinging that is too CGI-heavy and not quite convincing gorilla suits, it has some really good cinematography. Probably some of that CG is a long way off complete. I can’t predict how good the movie is so far, but I’m rather sceptical towards it, yet it isn’t in any way a bad trailer, either.

Alexander Skarsgard stars as Tarzan, Margot Robbie as Jane, along with Djimon Hounsou, Samuel L. Jackson, John Hurt, Casper Crump, and Christoph Waltz doing his villain thing. That’s a hell of a cast. Penned by by Stuart Beattie, Craig Brewer, John Colle and Adam Cozad, The Legend of Tarzan arrives on July 1st, 2016. Check out the trailer for yourself in the player below.

Should have had Carol Burnett do the Tarzan yell. Lol.

Warner Brothers’ Action-Adventure

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgard) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.
