Warner Bros. confirmed last week that the final installment of this trilogy will be called The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, and now we have our first look at the official logo for director Peter Jackson‘s adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s beloved Middle Earth novel.

Just to be honest with you, it’s only a slight change from the title card we’ve seen for both An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug.

However, the new title is now cemented in logo form to keep us going until the first footage from the final chapter arrives.

The third Hobbit film’s large cast includes Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Benedict Cumberbatch, Stephen Fry, Cate Blanchett, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Ken Stott, James Nesbitt, Orlando Bloom, John Bell, Manu Bennett, Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, John Callen, Billy Connolly, Ryan Gage, Mark Hadlow, Peter Hambleton, Stephen Hunter, William Kircher, Lawrence Makoare, Sylvester McCoy, Graham McTavish, Dean O’Gorman, Mikael Persbrandt and Aidan Turner.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies comes to theaters December 17th, 2014 and obviously concludes the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins, who joins the Wizard Gandalf and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

Take a look at the title logo below to see the result of these changes above.
