‘The House’ Trailer: Will Ferrell & Amy Poehler Casino Comedy
New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. have released the first trailer for this summer’s comedy The House starring “Saturday Night Live” veterans Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler.
“You wanna make money like Vegas, you gotta look like Vegas,” their buddy (played by Jason Mantzoukas) says in the footage. The R-rated comedy follows a married couple who can’t afford to pay for their daughter to go to college, so they decide to open an illegal casino in their house to raise funds. Brendan O’Brien and Andrew J. Cohen penned the script with the later serving as director.
The House opens on June 30th. Also starring Ryan Simpkins, Cedric Yarbrough, Nick Kroll and Michaela Watkins, check out the trailer below.
After Scott and Kate Johansen (Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler) lose their daughter Alex’s college fund, they become desperate to earn it back so she can pursue her dream of attending a university. With the help of their neighbor Frank (Jason Mantzoukas), they decide to start an illegal casino in the basement of his house.
