THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 1 Teaser Trailer has Arrived

Following its debut during Comic-Con in San Diego, Lionsgate has finally released online the minute-long teaser trailer for the much-anticipated The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.

As you can see in the video below, the first half of the conclusion to the Hunger Games series, directed by Francis Lawrence will bring tear to your eyes and a smile on your face: Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman) and Alma Coin (Julianne Moore) plot the next move for their rebellion and its iconic new poster girl, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).

“I am. I will,”

Katniss says when asked if she’ll fight the Capitol. She looks more troubled than ever trying to united all of Panem against President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and get back Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) from his public prisoner status in the Capitol.

Now this is a series that teens should be proud to read. Wasn’t a fan of the first two – especially the first one – but this actually looks like things are getting good and I’m excited to see where the story goes.

As much as I am excited, I think we need a full-length trailer. The movie comes out in less than 4 months, for God’s sake!

Also, be sure to check out a glimpse of Natalie Dormer as Cressida with her half shaved head:

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 opens in theaters November 21st. The cast also includes Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Stef Dawson, Evan Ross, Lily Rabe, Patina Miller, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson and Robert Knepper.
