The ‘John Wick’ Sequel Gets Title and Release Date

Keanu Reeves

Lionsgate has announced an official title and an early 2017 release date for the high-octane John Wick sequel, which brings Keanu Reeves to Italy.

Reeves returns as the titular hero, while Common joins John Wick: Chapter Two as the film’s villain, a head of security for a female crime lord.

Besides Reeves, Ian McShane, Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo, Lance Reddick, and Thomas Sadoski would be returning to their original roles, with new cast members including Ruby Rose, Riccardo Scamarcio, Laurence Fishburne and Peter Stormare.

Chad Stahelski is now helming solo from a script by original John Wick writer Derek Kolstad. The highly anticipated sequel will arrive in theaters just in time for Valentines’ Day on February 10, 2017, and will go up against Fifty Shades Darker, The LEGO Batman Movie and The Mountain Between Us.
