‘The Lego Batman Movie’ Parodies ‘Batman v Superman’ in New Trailer
Warner Bros. has released the final Lego Batman Movie trailer, offering us perhaps our best look yet at the upcoming expansion of the LEGO universe.
The new trailer introduces Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Zach Galifianakis as The Joker and even parodies Bat and Supes staring each other down in the rain on a rooftop (from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice).
Will Arnett is back to reprise his role as a Dark Knight for all ages in his own feature film. Directed by Chris McKay from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith, The Lego Movie spin-off also features the voices of Michael Cera as Robin the boy wonder, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn, and Mariah Carey as the Mayor of Gotham.
The Lego Batman Movie will hit theaters on February 10, 2017. Check out the new trailer below.
This looks pretty awesome and, while not in the trailer, Galifianakis-Slate definitely sounds like a better Joker-Harley team up.
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
