‘The Light Between Oceans’ Trailer with Michael Fassbender & Alicia Vikander
The first trailer for Derek Cianfrance‘s (The Place Beyond the Pines) period drama The Light Between Oceans has arrived online.
Starring Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender – both up for Academy Awards this weekend for The Danish Girl and Steve Jobs – the film follows a lighthouse keeper on a remote island in Australia who, with his wife, rescues a baby they find in a shipwrecked boat and raise it as their own.
Adapted from M.L. Stedman’s bestselling novel, The Light Between Oceans co-stars Rachel Weisz, Emily Barclay, Benedict Hardie, Anthony Hayes, Leon Ford, Thomas Unger, and Scott Wills. The film opens in the U.S. on September 2nd.
