The ‘Lights Out’ Trailer Debuts at WonderCon

Produced By James Wan

“You were right to be afraid of the dark.” The Conjuring 2 producer James Wan debuted the Lights Out trailer at WonderCon and it’s pretty damn impressive.

The first-time helmer David F. Sandberg directed from a screenplay by Eric A. Heisserer, which was based on Sandberg’s 2013 short film. Starring Maria Bello and Teresa Palmer, the film offers a tale of an unknown terror that lurks in the dark.

Featuring a poltergeist whose silhouette inches closer and closer with each flick of the light, Lights Out opens in theaters on July 22 and is rated PG-13. But it nevertheless had my hair standing on end. Watch below.

Good horror movies are rare these days. I’m hoping this will be good.
