Universal Pictures Remake

Universal Pictures has released the new Mummy trailer, featuring the opening chords of The Rolling Stones “Paint it Black.”

Tom Cruise headlines the directing debut of Alex Kurtzman, which finds Cruise and his trusty team accidentally awakening a priestess named Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) from her roomy tomb in contemporary times.

It looks like Cruise’s character dies more times in this movie that in Edge of Tomorrow. Oh well, whatever. The remake is poised to set a shared universe for Universal, and also stars Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance, and Russell Crowe.
