The New Trailer for Angelina Jolie’s UNBROKEN

Earlier today we saw Warner Bros. delivering the first trailer for its upcoming In the Heart of the Sea adaptation, and now we have the latest trailer for Angelina Jolie’s sophomore directorial effort Unbroken, which is also ocean-set film.

An epic drama is also a big screen adaptation (from Laura Hillenbrand‘s novel), based on the true story of Olympian and prisoner of war Louis Zamperini (Jack O’Connell) who recently passed away.

Co-starring Domhnall Gleeson, Finn Wittrock, Garrett Hedlund, Jai Courtney and Miyavi — best known as a Japanese singer-songwriter — the film arrives in theaters on Christmas Day.

The English actor O’Connell was great in both Starred Up and ’71 and if Unbroken is half-decent, it will probably win Best Picture . It’s already being positioned as this year’s big awards contender for Universal after all.

Here’s the newest trailer for the movie.

Academy Award® winner Angelina Jolie directs and produces Unbroken, an epic drama that follows the incredible life of Olympian and war hero Louis “Louie” Zamperini (Jack O’Connell) who, along with two other crewmen, survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII—only to be caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.
