The Rock Fights Giant Monsters in New ‘Rampage’ Trailer
Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have released a new trailer for Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming action-adventure, Rampage, reteaming him with his San Andreas director Brad Peyton.
The Rock is once again here to save the day, playing a people-shy primatologist who teams up with a giant ape for some good old fashioned monster mayhem.
The cast of a live-action version of the 1980s video game about apes and monsters destroying buildings includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello, Naomie Harris, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacy, Breanne Hill, Jack Quaid, Joey Thurmond, and P.J. Byrne.
Rampage opens on April 20th. Watch the second official trailer below.
In the movie, Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it¹s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.
