This New Trailer for ‘The Conjuring 2’ is Scary Good

The Enfield Poltergeist

New Line’s latest trailer for James Wan’s follow-up to his 2013 paranormal hit The Conjuring bowed at Wondercon today, as did Lights Out.

The new sping-tingling footage reveals more ghosts and spooks, and shows off some truly unsettling imagery.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren hunted by a specific angry spirit that’s been channeling itself through a young English child. Yeah, Wan appears to give some heavy nods to classics such as The Exorcist.

Co-starring Frances O’Connor, Shannon Kook-Chun, Jennifer Collins, Madison Wolfe, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Simon Delaney and Franka Potente, The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist hits theaters on June 10.

Something about this one didn’t click with me. I get the feeling The Conjuring 2 is way overrated and I hope Lights Out steals the show this summer. But if you don’t feel the same way, that’s okay. You should really just watch this trailer for yourself.

Director James Wan brings this supernatural thriller to the screen with another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren.. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
