‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Gets the First Colorful Teaser and Poster
Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures have released the first teaser trailer and the first poster art for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok.
The third movie in Thor series stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins, in what’s been described as something close to an intergalactic buddy/road movie.
Thor: Ragnarok will smash its way into theaters November 3. Check out the trailer, backed by Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song,” below:
Okay, it looks like they’re aping Guardians of the Galaxy in tone. That could hurt them at the box office if the critics jump all over it, but looks fun to watch. Here’s the initial one-sheet with Hemsworth’s short-haired God of Thunder front and center in the middle of an alien gladiatorial arena.
In Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok — the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization — at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger — the Incredible Hulk!
