TOY STORY 4 Will Be a Rom-Com, Not a Direct Sequel

TS4 Will Be Rom-Com

Speaking with Disney Latino, Pixar’s President Jim Morris opens up that Toy Story 4 will not pick up where the third movie left off, but will instead be a romantic comedy.

We learned back in November that the fourth film in the hit animated franchise is due June 16, 2017 and John Lasseter is returning to direct. Now we have a couple more details about what Pixar will do to continue the story. Actually, the same story won’t continue.

“The third movie ended in a beautiful way and completed a trilogy,” Morris stated.

“I think this movie is not part of this trilogy. It is a separate story, which in turn I do not know if will be continued.”

Moris hinted that there would be a love story, and an obvious link to the previous three films.

“It is not a continuation of the end of the story of Toy Story 3. Temporarily it is, but it will be a love story.

“It will be a romantic comedy.

“It will not put much focus on the interaction between the characters and children. I think it will be a very good movie.”

I just hope it is not a love triangle between Buzz, Jesse, and Woody.

It is thought that Toy Story 4 will follow the toys more closely, rather than their interactions with human characters.

Don’t think this is set in stone though. But I kinda think that the Toy Story series will be never ending and will evolve from a series of rom-coms to street-racing action, to the eventual heist movie genre. Lol.
