UK Trailer for Paweł Pawlikowski’s Tragedy-Romance ‘Cold War’

Paweł Pawlikowski’s Tragedy-Romance

British distributors Curzon Artificial Eye have released the official UK trailer for Pawel Pawlikowski’s Cold War, a black-and-white exploration of a turbulent romance between two musicians in a divided post-war Europe.

This Polish-British-French co-production earned Pawlikowski the award for Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival 2018. The film centers on a refined, musical theatre director Wiktor (played by Tomasz Kot) and electric blonde chanteuse Zula (played by Joanna Kulig), who end up being needlessly torn apart by the hard-line politics of the Iron Curtain.

Cold War will hit UK theaters on August 31 and will be released theatrically in the States on December 21. Watch below the new trailer, which is almost a music video.
