US Trailer for Stéphane Lafleur’s Dark Comedy TU DORS NICOLE

Quebecois Dark Comedy

Tu dors Nicole, a dark comedy by Quebecois filmmaker Stéphane Lafleur, premiered in last year’s Director’s Fortnight Cannes program and earned strong reviews.

Shot in 35mm black and white, the Frances Ha-like indie flick stars Julianne Côté and Marc-André Grondin and follows a character named Nicole during one long hot summer.

Check out the US trailer below for Tu dors Nicole, also starring Catherine St-Laurent, Francis La Haye, Simon Larouche, and Godefroy Reding. The film opens on May 29th.

Enjoying the family home while her parents are away, Nicole (Côté) is quietly spending the first weeks of her year off until her older brother Rémi (Grondin) shows up with his music group. The summer then takes an unexpected turn for Nicole and her best friend Véronique (St-Laurent). Tu dors Nicole tells the week they spend together in this house.
