Viola Davis Cast to Play Amanda Waller in SUICIDE SQUAD

Warner Bros Action Adventure

I like it. Two weeks ago, Warner Bros. Pictures’ president Greg Silverman announced the cast for the new action adventure Suicide Squad, but there was still one important role to fill. Amanda Waller.

Oprah Winfrey and Octavia Spencer were also in the mix to play “The Wall,” but Viola Davis is allegedly super close to signing on the dotted line, according to IGN.

The Oscar nominee has joined the already amazing cast that includes the likes of Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker, Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn along with Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. But firstly, her How to Get Away with Murder schedule should be sorted out.

I think she’s perfect for Waller and I am now much more excited for Suicide Squad than I am for Justice League. The hype for this movie is freaken unreal, also after not getting a Batman v Superman teaser for the movie in front of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Amanda Waller, the woman in charge of the squad, in the highly-anticipated DC Comics film, you might remember as the character Angela Bassett played in the Green Lantern film, by Pam Grier in Smallville, and by the younger Cynthia Addai-Robinson on CW series Arrow. “She’s a hard-ass government agent who offers supervillains a chance to earn their freedom by going on secret missions that have a good chance of getting them killed. “I will enjoy seeing her bitchslap Smith around.

Written and directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad is set to hit theaters on August 5, 2016.

Warner Bros Action Adventure

The war of casting talent between Fox, Marvel, Sony, and WB is like drafting for the NHL every other week. That is so much fun to watch. And Warner Bros.  is not playing around. The cast in this movie is ridiculous!
