Focus Features has released the first official teaser trailer for the Downton Abbey full length feature film, based on the hit TV show which featured the stories of the British aristocratic Crawley family and the servants who worked for them in the early 20th century. The Emmy-winning drama series originally aired for six seasons from 2010 to 2015 on ITV in the United Kingdom and on PBS in the United States.

The film stars Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith, Joanne Froggatt, Elizabeth McGovern, Laura Carmichael, Matthew Goode, and Allen Leech, reprising their roles. New cast members are Imelda Staunton, Geraldine James, Simon Jones, David Haig, Tuppence Middleton, Kate Phillips, and Stephen Campbell Moore.

Downton Abbey is directed by Michael Engler from the script written by the show’s original creator Julian Fellowes. The movie will hit theaters internationally on September 13, 2019, with the US premiere following a week later on September 20.
