Watch the New ‘Angry Birds Movie’ Trailer Here

Rovio Entertainment/Sony Pictures

Based on the popular Rovio Entertainment mobile game, the 3D animated comedy The Angry Birds Movie arrives in May – and here’s the new trailer.

The main trio of Angry Birds is voiced by Jason Sudeikis as Red, an easily irked avian, with Josh Gad, as the swift Chuck, and Danny McBride voicing their explosive friend Bomb.

Directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly from a script written by “The Simpsons” alum Jon Vitti, the voice cast also includes Bill Hader as a pig, Maya Rudolph as Matilda, and Peter Dinklage as the Mighty Eagle, along with Keegan-Michael Key, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale and Ike Barinholtz.

The Angry Birds Movie opens in the US on May 20, 2016. Watch the second trailer after the jump.

The first trailer made me think it might actually be good. However, the last thirty seconds of this one made me a bit concerned about it. Hopefully the next preview will be good as well as the reviews.

Rovio Entertainment Mobile Game Adaptation

The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis – We’re the Millers, Horrible Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride – This is the End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.
