WB Debuts ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Trailer and Poster

The Harry Potter Spinoff

Warner Bros. Pictures debuts today the first Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them teaser and poster ahead of its release next November.

Directed by David Yates (who helmed four of the eight Harry Potter films) and scripted by J.K. Rowling himself, the Harry Potter spinoff takes place in 1920s New York, where wizarding world “magizoologist” Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) finds himself running up against magicians to find and document magical creatures.

Also starring Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove, and Colin Farrell, the movie is due for release on November 18, 2016. Check out the very first teaser below, along with the poster.

Nice amount of restraint. Not a huge fan of Redmayne, but hopefully this will be good.

The Harry Potter Spinoff

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
