Coming in third, Mark Wahlberg’s latest action thriller Mile 22 (STX) opened below estimates with $13.6 million after garnering poor reviews and a B- CinemaScore. The film is directed by Peter Berg and also stars John Malkovich.

Studio 8/Sony’s Alpha debuted in fourth place with $10.5 million against a reported $51 million budget, which will be a loss for the studio. Kodi Smit-McPhee stars in the Ice Age pic directed by Albert Hughes. The audiences gave the film a B+ CinemaScore.
