Woody Harrelson’s ‘LBJ’: First-Look Clip

Woody Harrelson

Deadline has a first-look clip of Rob Reiner’s LBJ, ahead of its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival today.

A stirring biopic starring Woody Harrelson as President Lyndon B. Johnson is the second film project this year about Johnson after HBO’s All the Way,the play turned movie starring Bryan Cranston.

LBJ follows Johnson’s rise from a Texas school teacher to Congressional power broker to – following the assassination of John F. Kennedy – the 36th president of the United States.

The New Orleans-shot film also stars Richard Jenkins as Sen. Richard Russell, Bill Pullman as Sen. Ralph Yarborough, Jeffrey Donovan as President Kennedy, Kim Allen as Jacqueline Kennedy, and Jennifer Jason Leigh as Lady Bird Johnson.

The new clip is titled ‘Life Gives You Lemons’ and can be seen in our player below.

No doubt, Harrelson is equally brilliant in channeling the essence of Johnson (a President who was surprisingly more complicated than he appeared to the outside world) just as Cranston was.
