Writer Set for THE WOLVERINE Sequel

Hot on the heels of the news that the next solo Wolverine film has a release date, Fox has hired screenwriter David James Kelly to pen the script for the upcoming sequel.

What’s more interesting to me is that the new Wolverine flick will once again star Hugh Jackman as the Ol’ Canucklehead. Don’t change a winning team, even Jackman has said he’s not sure how much longer he can keep up the act.

In case you missed it, the studio set a March 3, 2017 release date for the as-yet untitled Wolverine follow-up and Deadline also reports that director James Mangold is coming back to helm the sequel, though no plot details have been released.

Kelly was previously attached to write the Daredevil reboot when that character was still at Fox and he had also sold the pitch Sentinel to the studio.
