WWE’s Sheamus Confirmed to Play Rocksteady in TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2

Rocksteady And Bebop

Irish WWE superstar Sheamus has joined the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 cast as the villain Rocksteady alongside Gary Anthony Williams who plays Bebop and Brian Tee who plays the new Shredder.

Sheamus (real name Stephen Farrelly) tweeted this image above (with co-stars Williams and Tee) and Daily Mail has a bunch of new set photos from the sequel which is currently filming in New York City. The iconic criminal duo may not have been portrayed in their mutated animal forms (Rocksteady gets rhino and Bebop gets warthog), but their street punk costumes, down to their hairstyles, were clear nods to the characters that were featured in the classic cartoon series (picture below).

Shredder (who gives them animal characteristics) and his daughter Karai (Brittany Ishibashi) also appear, as will scientist/mousers creator Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry). Rumor has it Krang might be making his live-action debut in TMNT 2.

Megan Fox will reprise her role as April O’Neil while Laura Linney, Will Arnett, and Johnny Knoxville (did the voice) will also star. Alessandra Ambrosio reportedly will play Will’s love interest and “Arrow”‘s Stephen Amell plays Casey Jones. There is still a chance at a pretty decent flick with all these characters and hopefully some lessons learned.

Director Dave Green, who previously helmed Earth to Echo, is directing from a script by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec. Michael Bay is producing along with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. The Paramount action sequel arrives June 3, 2016.
