As the release date of X-Men: Days of Future Past draws closer, and with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 dropping in the UK tomorrow, 20th Century Fox has given us a third and “final” trailer.

A follow-up to 2011’s X-Men: First Class promises to be the biggest X-Men film to date, and will unite the cast of the original trilogy led by Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen with the young Firs Class crew, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in order to change the past and prevent a cataclysmic future.

Jennifer Lawrence, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore and Lucas Till are among the other returning cast members, while Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Fan Bingbing, Booboo Stewart, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, Josh Helman and Evan Jonigkeit join the franchise for the first time.

Bryan Singer‘s X-Men: Days of Future Past opens everywhere starting on May 23.

Hit the jump to check out the new trailer which gives us the best look yet at Wolverine rounding up mutants in a fight for survival across two time periods. An instrumental version of Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” is in the last tease.

In addition, you can watch a 20-minute Q&A with Jackman, Fassbender and McAvoy.
