Zack Snyder Set to Direct JUSTICE LEAGUE

Well, it’s official : Zack Snyder is now confirmed to direct Warner Bros’ upcoming DC superhero mashup Justice League.

WB honcho Greg Silverman told the Wall Street Journal blog Speakeasy that Snyder has officially been set to direct a follow-up to Batman Vs. Superman, which begins production next month.

In other words, first came Man of Steel, next up is Batman vs. Superman and then, Justice League.

“It will be a further expansion of this universe. Batman vs. Superman will lead into Justice League,”

Silverman told the outlet.

Little has been revealed other than that, but the project is likely to again star Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. Other JLAers are expected to be announced in the future, of course.

Although it’s said the movie is unlikely to be released before 2018 THR’s Borys Kit confirms the earlier rumor of a back to back shoot which means the movie could hit theaters as early as Summer 2017:

“Yes, Zack Snyder will direct Justice League. Yes it will shoot back to back. Likely release date: 2017. Likely announcement: Comic Con.”

Batman Vs. Superman movie comes to theaters May 6th, 2016.
