Following yesterday’s false rumor about theft of the Caped Crusader’s machine from the Detroit set of the DC ensemble, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder took to Twitter to have some fun with those rumors, posting another Batman v Superman/Star Wars mashup photo.

‘The Batmobile is safe in the Batcave where it belongs,’

Detroit police spokesman Sgt. Michael Woody told the Detroit Free Press. Regardless, Snyder took advantage of this rumor to continue jokes between himself and Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, and ‘revealed’ the criminals behind the attempt on Batman’s favorite ride, showing Gotham Police arresting a Stormtrooper for the theft with the caption: ‘Case Closed.’ Why do I have a feeling that Snyder put that rumor out there so he would have an excuse to post that pic? Even though it’s a joke, the Batmobile looks sexy in this pic too. snyder-batmobile-stormtrooper-full Let’s see how J.J. responds. Lol. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. An open fan boy Snyder is directing a cast that includes Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White alongside Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) in as-yet-unrevealed roles. The film will arrive in theaters March 25th, 2016. Batman_v_Superman _Dawn_of_Justice_ Batmobile Snyder obviously loves Star Wars:
